Hello Hippies!! I wanted to start a new series on my blog. Each month I’m going to be sharing my beauty, fashion and lifestyle items that I’ve been loving for that month.
Can you believe that it’s September already?? I swear, the month of August went by way too fast. This year is flying by! I guess the older we get that happens. Blah!! August was a great month for me. I’ve been blogging for 9 months now and I just started a YouTube channel! I figured doing videos would go along great with my blog as well. You can check out the video that goes along with this post here. Please subscribe 🙂 Now lets get into my August favorites.
Dose of Colors collaborated with beauty guru’s Desi and Katy. I love these girls so when they came out with this collaboration I knew I had to get something. My favorite liquid lipsticks are made by Dose of Colors so I purchased lip products from the collaboration. I picked up No Shade Lipstick, Over the Top gloss, and Hot Fire liquid lipstick. No shade is the perfect nude tone lipstick. It’s creamy and very pigmented. The gloss is so sparkly with flecks of gold shimmer and not sticky. Hot fire is a beautiful orange red color and these liquid lipsticks last all day long and are very comfortable to wear. I’ve been obsessed with wearing No Shade and Over the Top gloss as an everyday lip color.
From Left to Right: Hot Fire, Over the Top gloss, No Shade Lipstick
Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Glow in the shade Perla. I never got into liquid highlighters because I have oily skin. This one is a game changer. It’s lightweight and gives an intense glow. I use this over my foundation and it does not mess it up. I apply a powder highlighter on the top for an even more intense glow. I also apply it all over my body. I love it.
Smashbox Studio Skin Shaping Foundation Stick. This has been my holy grail foundation for the month of August. It’s a full size stick foundation on one side and on the other side is a matching contour shade. It’s a medium coverage foundation but you can build it up to become a more fuller foundation. It’s so convenient because of the contour shade on the other side. My foundation and contour are done so fast! It also keeps my oily skin matte, I still have to blot throughout the day but I have to with any foundation. (oily skin life)
Oliver Bilou handbag in the style Amy. I’ve been obsessed with this bag since I received it. It’s a beautiful royal blue color with silver embellishments and a fun fringe detail on the front. It’s a great structured bag but the fringe gives it that fun hippie vibe. This brand is amazing because they donate part of their proceeds to a children’s charity. I love brands that give back to the community. Each bag is personalized with a unique quote, it just adds a little something special to the handbag.
Vans Slides. In the month of August (and even into September) I’ve been rocking these slides! I love them! Slides are super on trend right now. I’ve been wearing these with leggins, jeans, shorts, even dresses. They’re so comfortable and super stylish. I’ve seen slides everywhere but I had to get the Vans slides because I love Vans. If you live in Cali you know we rock the heck out of Vans.
Twig & Petal Essential Oils. I did a whole blog post on these essential oils and how I use them. Check it out here. I’ve also been loving these handmade bracelets by the brand LavHa. They are made out of natural gems and lava rock. They are located right in Southern California (where I’m from) and is a woman owned and woman ran business. They employ local stay at home moms, single moms and college students. Which is amazing. To use the bracelets you drop a few drops of essential oil on the lava rock beads and it diffuses the oil for up to 3 days. They also make necklaces too. It’s a great way to use the your essential oils.
And those are my favorite beauty, fashion and lifestyle items I’ve been loving in the month of August. I also made a video that you can check out here.
Thank you so much for stopping by my lovley hippies. What are some products you loved last month? Peace out Hippies
