One of my favorite things about the summer is going to outdoor concerts. Something about the warm summer nights and live music just puts me in the best mood. I love all genres of music but my favorite types of concerts to attend are reggae concerts. The music, and the positive vibes at these shows is amazing. You can’t be in a bad mood when you listen to reggae music. Reggae music isn’t just Bob Marley, there’s so many bands today, that play reggae. If you really listen to the words, it’s really positive and happy music. And I’m all about positive vibes and being happy. Some of my favorite reggae bands are, Iration, Slightly Stoopid, Fortunate Youth, Sublime, and Stick Figure.
I have a few concerts lined up for the summer. The first one I’m attending is this weekend. Since this won’t be my only concert this summer, I’m going to do a Summer Concert Series where I put together my favorite outfits for concert season. Hopefully it will help anyone who’s having a hard time on what to wear to these events.
For my first Summer Concert Series outfit, I wanted something that’s fun, comfortable and easy to put together. Bodysuits are a stable in my closet. I wear them all the time. I feel like they’re easy to style with just about anything. I found this lace up bodysuit at PacSun. I also got it in white, cause you can never have enough bodysuits, or I just have a shopping addiction. The shorts are high wasted and distressed so they give you that extra cool vibe. My booties, I just picked up from the Nordstrom Anniversary sale. Such a good price and very comfortable. I got them in black and tan. You definitely need a small bag to take with you, this black fringe backpack is perfect! Small enough to fit everything you’ll need but still super cute to go with your outfit. I don’t wear a lot of jewelry to concerts because I’m dancing the night away and I don’t want to risk losing anything. I thought just a simple black choker would tie the outfit together perfectly. You can shop my look below.
What are your favorite concerts to attend in the summer? Or just any time? I’d love to here about it. Thanks for the love and for stopping by my hippie loves.
