I’m so excited to be blogging about makeup again! I’ve been so caught up in the fashion side of my blog that I feel like I’ve neglected my glam side!! Beauty and makeup is the main reason why I started to blog. To give my honest reviews on products. Because reviews help me so much when deciding to buy a certain product or not. I’m also an avid Yelper because reviews help me so I hope I’m helping others with mine. Ok enough about me, lets talk about these Kylie Cosmetics Send Me More Nudes Velvet Liquid Lipstick Collection. (Now that’s a mouth full )
I knew right away when I saw her vacation collection come out that I needed these nude lipsticks. I’m a sucker for nudes. I’ve been purchasing her products since she first launched her lip kits, I believe last year. Her matte liquid lipsticks blew me away. The formulas are spot on! Out of all the liquid lipstick brands, Kylie Cosmetics are my favorite by far. Really comfortable on the lips, doesn’t make my lips look dry even though they’re super matte, and amazing color payoff. For her vacation collection the nudes came in her classic matte formula and her new velvet matte formula. Since I have so many of the mattes, I decided to try out the velvet mattes. The difference between the two is that the mattes are really matte, they don’t transfer on to anything and are very long lasting, the velvet mattes are also long wearing, super pigmented but has a creamier formula that does not dry down.
For this collection you get 4 nude shades. The colors are:
Naked- Sandy Beige, Birthday Suit- Nude Warm Beige, Commando- Terracotta Beige, and Bare- Nude Pink Beige.
With Flash. Top Row Left: Naked, Top Row Right: Birthday Suit, Bottom Left: Commando, Bottom Right: Bare
Top Row Left: Naked, Top Row Right: Birthday Suit, Bottom Left: Commando, Bottom Right: Bare
Outside in the the bright sunlight. Left to Right: Naked, Birthday Suit, Commando, Bare.
Outside in the shade. Left to Right: Naked, Birthday Suit, Commando, Bare.
Are they Laugh Love & Hippie approved?
Yes! When you apply them, they glide on so nicely. You don’t have to worry about being perfect when applying them because they don’t dry as fast as the matte liquid lipsticks. They’re creamy and blend so seamlessly. If you mess up, you can simply wipe it away with no problems. After wearing them for a few hours I was surprised they held up so well. They did dry down to a semi matte finish but they still transfer onto things because they don’t completely dry. Which doesn’t bother me. I actually like the fact that if I want to wipe it off my lips I can without any problems. With really matte liquid lipsticks I have to use coconut oil or a makeup remover to get it off of my lips. I think I like this formula better than her classic matte formula! Crazy huh? For the colors, I feel like the first two shades (the lighter ones) are a little too light for my skin tone. On a deeper skin tone they would look so pretty! I’m pretty pale so they just washed me out. The last two shades ( the pinker ones) I love! I would definitely check out the velvet mattes from her Vacation collection. Surprisingly they didn’t sell out like most of her products. You can purchase them here for only $45.00.
Ahh feels so nice to be reviewing some makeup again! Did you guys miss these reviews? If you did let me know and be on the look out for more! Thanks for stopping by my little hippies. Peace & Love!
