On April 18th I attended the Style Collective meetup at the beautiful Mesa in Costa Mesa. The event was hosted by the lovely Debbie Savage of To Thine Own Style Be True who also invited me to attend. Not going to lie, I was pretty nervous because this was my first meet up with other bloggers and I wasn’t really sure what to expect. Right when I walked in, I was greeted by Maria Guerrero’s husband Hector, who got me checked in and introduced me to some of the girls. Right away the first group of girls welcomed me and brought me right into their conversations. We exchanged our Instagram names, how long we’ve been blogging and what our blogs were about. Some of the girls I recognized right away because I’ve been following them since I started blogging. My nervous jitters went right out the window.
To start off the night we went around and everyone introduced themselves and shared what their blogs were about. The rest of the night we ate, mingled, took selfies and exchanged stories about the blogging life. It was nice to have other girls I could talk to about blogging, taking pictures, lighting, pretty much everything that comes with the territory. Every girl I talked to was so nice. That’s what Style Collective is all about. Other bloggers in the community helping each other and being there for one another. It’s a beautiful community that empowers others and helps you in you blogging journey. I’ve been apart of Style Collective for almost a month and I’m amazed at all the love and support I’ve received from other Style Collective Sisters. If you’re interested in joining or learning more about the sisterhood follow this link to learn more or just ask me any questions that you may have.
Now lets talk about all the amazing sponsors that helped make this event that much more amazing.
The location was at Mesa located at 725 Baker St. in Costa Mesa, CA at the corner of Bristol and Baker. The vibe inside is very modern and classy. They offer small plates for dinner and even a late night menu. The bar is the main attraction. Located right in the middle of the lounge. They offer boutique wine and a craft bar. Once we arrived, all the girls were served right away with a lavender lemonade that tasted just like lavender and was really refreshing. The waitress brought over some appetizers for us to snack on as well. Everything I tasted was so good. The staff was very accommodating and I would love to go back here in the future.
All the tables were decorated with fresh flower centerpieces made by Bleudog Floral and beautiful bottles of wine from Middle Sister Wines were placed on every table. To capture every moment the lovely Shawna from Bleudog Fotography was there taking pictures of the whole event and head shots for all of us girls. She was very nice and took almost all the amazing pictures that are in this post.
When the night came to an end we were all gifted a heavy gift bag and a bottle of wine from Middle Sister Wines. They’re Instagram is @middlesisterwines The gift bags were made possible by some amazing sponsors. I’m going to list them all here with their websites and Instagram so you can check them out as well.
Alaska Bear gave us a natural silk, hypoallergenic pillowcase. I’ve been using it ever since that night. I love it! Keeps my hair very smooth and is suppose to help prevent wrinkles.
Jade J is a premium consumer electronics brand from California. They gifted us with a Powerboost Powerbank and a Jadelink charging cord. I love tech stuff so this was so nice of them to give us these! Instagram: @jadejtech
Borika is a brand that has organic, vegan and cruelty-free products. They gave us an all natural coffee and coconut body scrub. I used it, and it really scrubs the skin but leaves it moisturized at the same time. Instagram: @borikabody
LavHa are handmade therapeutic essential oil diffusing jewelry. They use high grade gemstones and LAVA rocks. They’re made in Southern California. I love my bracelet that I was gifted. It’s so pretty and really good quality. I just love the whole idea behind this brand. Check them out on Instagram: @lavha
Thanks again to Style Collective, Debbie, Mesa and all the sponsors. I had such a good time and I can’t wait for the next meet up to see all my #bossbabes again. Thanks for reading.
