2017 Goals


In years past I’ve always wanted to write down goals that I have for the year and see if I actually stick to them. It’s always the same year after year. I say I’m going to write them down but I never do. Last year I made a mental list in my head and accomplished quite a few of my goals I set out for but it would have been nice to see an actual list of those goals. I’m a very visual person so this year, I’m making a goal list, right here, on my blog. When December 31, 2017 comes around, I’ll make sure to look back at this post and see how many of these goals I accomplished. Setting goals for yourself keeps you motivated and excited to take on the new year! I encourage everyone to make a goal list.

Personal Goals:

  • Save at least $200 a month ( This is do able but I have a bad shopping addiction)
  • Try new things
  • Take a photography class
  • Master the art of Macrame
  • Volunteer my time at a homeless / animal shelter
  • Gossip less
  • Pray more / Find a church
  • Finish my sleeve
  • Use my phone less
  • Share my experiences more to help other people (that means more blog posts!)
  • Express my feelings more and not be afraid to let someone know how I really feel
  • Kiss my husband goodnight every night

Travel Goals:

  • Go to Sequoia National Forest
  • Go to Yosemite
  • Go to Oregon’s Country Fair in July
  • Visit a big city I’ve never been to before (New York, Denver)
  • Go to a winery
  • Go to the beach more
  • Go on more hikes to places I’ve never been before
  • Visit more museums and art galleries

Health Goals:

  • Work out at least 4-6 times a week ( I currently workout 3-4 times a week)
  • Eat veggies with every meal
  • Wake up at the same time every day (even on weekends)
